Placeholders are great and work well for most of my customers that I bill on a monthly basis in advance on 7 day terms: For example, invoicing today (1 June 2018), the following works for a customer that started service on the 8th. This would save me a lot of time and Kashflow does it very well.
Harvest app add variables to recurring invoices how to#
This can happen in the email message by using a tag saying 'MONTH' (with square brackets) but I can't see how to do it in the invoice itself. I would like the invoice to say 'Technical support in October 2012' (for example) when generated at the end of October but then change to 'Technical support in November 2012' when the November invoice is generated. The recurring invoice feature is great and all understood, but I can't see how I can update the actual invoice details to mention the month in which the invoice is generated. We will be using one of them after this test and I want to make sure that I am not missing out on functionality in Xero, so would be very grateful if anyone could confirm whether it is possible to set up recurring invoices that have auto text for the actual line items to allow automatic updating of months. Merged: Auto insert text in invoice line items I am currently testing out Xero against Kashflow in a head to head showdown.
